Collect Tracking: 7 Fast Ways to Find Your Parcel
CARRIAGE TRACKING – All-in-One Courier Tracking Service

Collect Tracking
Collect tracking lets you check where your Collect+ parcel is in the delivery process and view its latest available status. In most cases, you only need the tracking reference provided when the parcel was sent or ordered.
Collect+ tracking information is based on parcel scans as the shipment moves through the delivery network, so it should not be treated as live GPS tracking.
How Do I Track a Collect Parcel?
To track a Collect parcel, enter your Collect tracking number into a compatible tracking page and select the track option. The latest available scan will show the parcel’s current status and, where available, its estimated delivery information.
If you don’t have the tracking number, check your order email, SMS, receipt, retailer account, or contact the sender.
How to Use Collect Tracking
The easiest way to check your shipment is to use your Collect tracking reference.

AfterShip also supports Collect+ tracking and explains that users can enter their tracking number to view shipment updates.
Where to Find Your Collect Tracking Number
Your Collect tracking number is normally provided when the parcel is booked, shipped, or handed over for delivery.
Depending on how the parcel was sent, you may find the reference in:
If you purchased a Collect+ label directly, ParcelsApp reports that the tracking reference can appear in the original email or on the store receipt.
For a retailer return, the retailer may be the best place to check if you cannot find the tracking reference.
Collect Tracking Number vs Collection Code
A Collect tracking number and a collection code serve different purposes.
The tracking number is used to follow the parcel’s progress through the delivery network. The collection code is used to collect a parcel from a participating Collect+ store.
For Click & Collect shipments, the collection code can be sent by email or text after the parcel reaches the collection location. ParcelsApp states that the collection code is a seven-character reference and can also be provided as a barcode.
Collect Tracking Status and What It Means
Collect tracking statuses show where a parcel is in the delivery process. Because tracking relies on scans at physical points in the network, a parcel may move between scans without showing a new update immediately.
Collect tracking status | What it means | What you should do |
|---|---|---|
Delivery Booked | The shipment has been entered into the delivery process | Wait for the next scan |
Parcel Collected | The parcel has been collected for transportation | Continue tracking |
Processed at National Hub | The parcel is being sorted through a central network point | No action is normally required |
Received at Depot | The parcel has reached a delivery depot | Wait for the next movement |
Loaded onto Van | The parcel has been loaded for delivery | Be ready to receive it |
Out for Delivery | The parcel is being taken toward its destination | Monitor the delivery |
Delivered | The shipment has been recorded as delivered | Check the delivery location if you cannot find it |
ParcelsApp lists examples including “Parcel collected by courier,” “Processed at National Hub,” “Received into depot,” “Loaded onto van,” and “Delivered to Customer.”
What Does “National Hub” Mean?
The Collect+ National Hub status indicates that a parcel is being processed through a central sorting stage in the network. It does not necessarily mean the parcel is sitting at one specific destination facility.
The parcel can move from the local depot to the central sorting process and then toward the next stage of its journey.
How Long Does Collect Delivery Take?
Standard Collect+ parcels are typically delivered within two working days, according to the delivery information reproduced by ParcelsApp. The estimated delivery day is an indication rather than a guarantee.
Some destinations can take longer. ParcelsApp notes that an additional working day may be needed for Northern Ireland, the far north of Scotland, the Isle of Man, and the Isle of Wight, while Scottish Islands can require additional time.
Delivery situation | Typical timeframe |
|---|---|
Standard parcel | Around 2 working days |
Return to retailer | Typically 3 to 5 working days |
Certain remote destinations | May require additional working days |
Scottish Islands | May require additional time |
Bank holidays and Sundays aren’t counted as working days in the standard timeframe described by Collect+ information reproduced by ParcelsApp.
Collect Tracking Not Updating? Here’s What to Do
Collect tracking may not update immediately because tracking events are generated when parcels are scanned at physical points in the delivery network. A gap between scans doesn’t automatically mean that the parcel is lost.
Try these steps:
ParcelsApp’s Collect+ information specifically says customers should contact Collect+ when a parcel hasn’t moved for more than 24 hours or has passed its estimated delivery day.
A tracking page showing no new event doesn’t necessarily mean that nothing is happening physically. Tracking systems depend on available scan data.
Can You Track a Collect Parcel Without a Tracking Number?
You may be able to view Collect+ parcels without manually entering the tracking reference if you have a Collect+ account associated with the relevant email address.
ParcelsApp reports that Collect+ account users can view in-flight parcels linked to their email address.
If you don’t have access to an account, check your:
If none of these contains the reference, contact the retailer or sender and ask them to provide the tracking information.
Collect Parcel Delayed or Missing
A delayed Collect parcel needs to be assessed against its estimated delivery date and latest tracking event. A temporary gap between scans isn’t necessarily a delivery failure.
If the parcel is late, first check the latest tracking status and estimated delivery information. If it has gone beyond the expected delivery period, contact the appropriate carrier or sender with your tracking reference.
What to Do When Your Collect Parcel Is Delayed
Start by checking the tracking page again and confirm that the reference is correct. If the status hasn’t changed and the estimated delivery date has passed, contact the carrier or retailer with the order details and tracking reference.
For a retailer purchase, the retailer is often the right starting point for order-related issues. AfterShip also states that its service provides package tracking and that customers should contact their retailer for order-detail inquiries.
What If Collect Tracking Says Delivered but You Didn’t Receive It?
If Collect tracking says delivered but you cannot find the parcel, check the delivery address, safe place, and nearby locations first. Also check whether the parcel was left with a neighbour or directed to a collection location.
If you still cannot locate it, contact the sender or retailer and provide the tracking reference so they can investigate the delivery.
What Happens After a Missed Collect Delivery?
A missed Collect delivery may lead to another delivery attempt, a safe-place or neighbour delivery, or collection from a depot depending on the circumstances.
ParcelsApp’s Collect+ information states that drivers can make up to three delivery attempts and may leave a card with instructions if delivery cannot be completed.
Check the card or tracking information for the next available action rather than assuming the parcel has been returned immediately.
Collect Parcel Returns and Return Tracking
Collect parcels can be returned to the sender or retailer when delivery or collection cannot be completed.
According to the Collect+ information reproduced by ParcelsApp, a parcel can be returned after up to three unsuccessful delivery attempts. A parcel sent to a store for collection can also be returned if it is refused by the store or remains uncollected for 10 calendar days.
Return parcels are typically delivered to the retailer within 3 to 5 working days, although the actual timeframe can vary.
Collect Click & Collect and Collection Points
Collect+ supports store-based parcel collection, so tracking isn’t always about waiting for a parcel at your home address.
For Click & Collect orders, the parcel first needs to reach the selected collection location. Once it’s available, the recipient can receive a notification and collection code.
The collection code is different from the tracking reference. Tracking tells you about the parcel’s journey, while the collection code is used to release the parcel at the collection point.
Official Collect Tracking vs Third-Party Tracking
Both official and third-party tracking services can be useful, but they serve slightly different purposes.
Tracking option | Best for | Main benefit |
|---|---|---|
Official Collect+ tracking | Checking carrier-specific information | Direct carrier tracking experience |
Multi-carrier tracker | Tracking different shipments | Multiple carriers in one place |
Retailer account | Checking an online order | Order and shipping information together |
AfterShip provides Collect+ tracking through its platform and supports features such as automated tracking, status notifications, estimated delivery dates, bulk tracking, and tracking API integration.
ParcelsApp also provides Collect+ tracking and combines shipment information from supported delivery services into a tracking interface.
Who Should You Contact About a Collect Parcel?
The correct contact depends on the problem.
For an order, refund, return, or retailer-related issue, contact the retailer or sender first. For a carrier delivery problem, use the carrier’s support process where appropriate.
Have the following information ready:
Providing the tracking reference usually makes it easier for support to identify the shipment.
