LaserShip Tracking: Track Your LaserShip (OnTrac) Package
CARRIAGE TRACKING – All IN ONE COURIER TRACKING SERVICE

LaserShip Tracking
LaserShip is now OnTrac. To track a LaserShip package, paste your tracking number (it often starts with 1LS, LS, LX or BN) into the tracker above, or use the tracking page on OnTrac.com. Old LaserShip numbers still work. Most packages arrive between 8 a.m. and 9 p.m. local time on the scheduled day.
If your order confirmation says LaserShip, you might be confused when you search for it and end up on a website called OnTrac. That’s expected. LaserShip bought OnTrac in 2021, and the combined company now runs under the OnTrac name. Your package is still moving through the same network, and LaserShip tracking numbers still work.
This guide shows you how to track a LaserShip package, what each status means, how to read your tracking number, and who to contact when something goes wrong. You can also check the latest status with our OnTrac tracking page, since both brands now share one system.
How to Track My LaserShip Delivery
You have three easy options:
LaserShip Tracking via Carriage Tracking
You need to follow the following steps:

The advantage of using Carriage Tracking is that you can follow orders from different couriers in one place. That’s useful when one online order is split into several boxes and each goes with a different carrier.
Tracking via the Official OnTrac Website
Official sites are one of the primary sources of tracking the LaserShip shipping process.
Follow the bellow given steps to get the shipping status of your shipments:

Tracking by Text Message
OnTrac runs a text-only line at 703-348-8441. Text “start” and follow the prompts to track a package or open a case. Standard message rates apply.
LaserShip Tracking Number Format
A tracking number is the unique code tied to your parcel. According to OnTrac, its tracking numbers start with 1LS, LS, LX, BN, C or D. Older LaserShip numbers usually begin with 1LS, LS or LX and run from about 10 to 15 characters.
How to Find Your LaserShip Tracking Number
Retailers send it in the shipping confirmation email or text, and it’s usually also listed in your order history. LaserShip doesn’t sell shipping directly to shoppers, so if you can’t find the number, ask the retailer you bought from.

What Do LaserShip Tracking Statuses Mean?
Each scan updates your package status. Here’s what the most common messages mean:
Tracking status | What it means |
|---|---|
Label created / Order information created | The retailer made a shipping label. LaserShip doesn’t have the package yet. |
Package receipt awaiting from the seller | The seller hasn’t handed the parcel over yet. |
Your package is on the way to the facility | The parcel is heading to the first OnTrac/LaserShip facility. |
Arrived at facility / Origin scan | The package was scanned into the network for sorting |
Departed facility | It’s moving to the next facility on the route. |
Arrived at final servicing facility | It’s at the local facility that will deliver it. |
Loaded onto vehicle | It’s on the delivery van. |
Out for delivery | The driver has it and should deliver today. |
Delivered | The driver marked it as delivered. |
Delivery attempted / Could not be completed | The driver couldn’t access the address. Another attempt usually follows within 1–2 business days. |
Access code or additional information needed | The driver needs a gate code or a fuller address. Add delivery instructions with OnTrac. |
Delivery delayed / Delayed due to weather | The package is safe but running late. |
Unable to deliver due to holiday | The business address was closed. Delivery moves to the next working day. |
Package received as an overage | The facility received a package it wasn’t expecting from the shipper’s manifest. It’s being matched to its label and should move on soon. |
Routed incorrectly, en route to local facility | It went to the wrong facility and is being redirected. |

How Long Does LaserShip Take to Deliver?
LaserShip is a ground, last-mile carrier. Most packages arrive within a few business days of being handed over, and same-region orders are often faster. The delivery date the retailer shows at checkout is the best estimate for your specific order.
Deliveries normally arrive between 8 a.m. and 9 p.m. local time. Saturday and Sunday delivery is available only in some service areas. Missed deliveries are usually reattempted within 1–2 business days, with no same-day retries.
LaserShip vs OnTrac: What’s the Difference
Today, there isn’t one. LaserShip was founded in 1986 as Laser Courier in Vienna, Virginia, and grew into the East Coast’s biggest regional parcel carrier. OnTrac was its West Coast counterpart.
In 2021, LaserShip bought OnTrac for about $1.3 billion, creating a coast-to-coast network. In 2023, the company announced it would operate under a single name, OnTrac. Every LaserShip package now moves through the OnTrac network, website and customer service.
According to OnTrac, it now delivers residential packages in 35 states and Washington, D.C., reaching about 70% of the U.S. population.
Which Stores Ship With LaserShip?
LaserShip/OnTrac works for retailers and marketplaces rather than individual shoppers. Large online stores split deliveries between national carriers and regional ones like OnTrac to speed things up and lower costs. That’s why Amazon tracking sometimes shows OnTrac as the delivery partner, while another order from the same store arrives with USPS.
Cross-border marketplaces also hand parcels to regional carriers for the final mile. If you’re waiting on a budget order, our Temu shipping time guide explains how long each stage usually takes.
Other Last-Mile Carriers Like LaserShip
LaserShip isn’t the only regional carrier handling e-commerce deliveries. Depending on where you live, your order might arrive with TForce Final Mile for larger items, CDL Last Mile Solutions in the Northeast, or Speedee Delivery in the Midwest. They work in a similar way: the retailer books them, and you track with the number in your shipping email.
LaserShip Customer Service
All LaserShip customer service is now handled by OnTrac:
Older LaserShip phone numbers you’ll find online are no longer the official contact route, so start with live chat or the text line.
Package Marked Delivered but Missing
Check around your property, with neighbours and with your building’s mailroom first. Then open a ticket with OnTrac’s chat assistant using your tracking number. That starts an investigation, and you’ll get updates by email. For refunds or replacements, contact the retailer. They’re OnTrac’s customer and can file a claim.
