Tforce tracking

For TForce tracking, enter your PRO number in the tracker above or on TForce Freight’s tracking page. You can track up to 25 PRO numbers at once. No PRO? Search by BOL or PO number with the ship dates and ZIP codes. TForce Freight is a less-than-truckload (LTL) carrier that used to be UPS Freight. For help, call customer service on (800) 333-7400.

TForce tracking is how shippers, receivers and freight brokers follow pallet shipments across the TForce Freight network. It works differently from parcel tracking. Your reference is a PRO number, freight moves between service centers on linehaul trailers, and delivery often needs an appointment.

This guide covers how to track a TForce Freight shipment, what each number and status means, typical transit times, and who to call when a load is delayed.

What Is TForce Freight?

TForce Freight is one of the larger LTL carriers in North America. It moves palletized and heavy shipments that are too big for parcel networks but don’t fill a whole truck.

The company started in 1935 as Overnite Transportation in Richmond, Virginia. UPS bought it in 2005 and renamed it UPS Freight in 2006. In April 2021, TFI International bought UPS Freight for $800 million and renamed it TForce Freight. Its home office is in Henrico, Virginia, near Richmond.

TForce Freight vs TForce Final Mile

Why Is My TForce Tracking Not Updating?

  • The PRO isn’t active yet: scans start after pickup, so a new BOL may show nothing for a few hours.
  • Linehaul: freight can travel overnight between service centers without a new scan.
  • Waiting for an appointment: many deliveries to businesses and homes need a scheduled appointment before they go out.
  • Cross-border: customs clearance into Canada or Mexico can add a day or more.
  • Weather and holidays: TForce Freight posts holiday schedules and service alerts on its site.

What to Do If Your Freight Is Delayed or Damaged

  • Check your TForce tracking for an exception reason.
  • Call the destination service center, listed in your tracking results.
  • Contact customer service with your PRO number.
  • Note any damage on the delivery receipt before signing, and take photos.
  • File a claim through TForce Freight’s claims page with the BOL, invoice and photos.

TForce Freight vs Other LTL Carriers

TForce Freight competes with the largest US LTL networks. Old Dominion is known for on-time service and low claims. XPO runs one of the biggest LTL networks in the US. Estes is the largest privately owned LTL carrier, ABF Freight is part of ArcBest, and R+L Carriers is a family-owned national carrier. If you used to ship with YRC (Yellow), which shut down in 2023, TForce Freight is one of the national LTL carriers that handle the same kind of freight. Not sure which option fits your shipment?
