DHL Charging Rules
The charges of shipments are directly associated with loading meters (actual weight or dimensional weight, the higher one will be counted.
DHL freight counts the weight measures under the supervision of DHL or the weight measured at the premises of DHL and the invoice will be made accordingly.
In term of charges per KG the chargeable weight will be counted as rounded Wight figure closer to the whole KG.
In terms of charges per 100 KG, the chargeable weight is always round up to the nearest 100 KG value.
In term of charges per cubic meter, the charges will be counted for the round up value to one decimal
Minimum charges per shipment will always apply for KG, 100 KG, tonnage, cubic meter, loading meter or pallet rates
The minimum charges of each weight band will always equal to the maximum charges of previous weight band, whenever DHL offers shipment weight band for weights in KG, 100 KG, tonnage, cubic meter, loading meter, or pallet.
If the pallets ate stackable then the charges will be applied with the multiple of 2 against each pellet. (E.g. 2, 4 ,6, 8, 10 pallets)
If the height of the pallet doesn’t exceed the 120 cm, then the pellet is eligible to count in stackable pallet. Factors like shape of the pallet, packaging, material and construction are key consideration before counting the pallet as stackable.
If a pallet doesn’t fall under the criteria of stackable pallet and its height, shape, material and fragility of items doesn’t allow to consider as stackable then the charges of non-stackable pallet will be applied.
